The Best Thing That Happened To Me in 2013

Image
Just like the previous years that passed, my year 2013 has been full of ups and downs, goods and bads; and success and failures. Though it has not been that perfect to me, my family, my studies, and my work, my year still generally becomes fair and the burning hope in me still continues to ignite as I look forward to a better year to come. Being given the opportunity to work as a content writer is the best thing that happened to me in 2013. I was so grateful after knowing about this because right after I had resigned from being a student assistant in my university last October, I thought I could not continue my studies any longer. I felt very helpless and almost lost the remaining faith in me. However, with the chance to work with another job, I re-motivated and re-dedicated myself to continue my growth. I have been considering my new job as the fulfillment of my dream of becoming a writer. I admit that I am really having a great time working, at the same time earning for a living.T

Christmas Doesn't End

Photo from Google A couple of days before Christmas, everybody had been very excited to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. In fact, as early as this, many were already busy putting up their Christmas trees of assorted sizes as well as glowing and dancing Christmas lights. Many were also setting a budget for the things to buy for the celebration, including the gifts to give, the foods to serve, and many more. As we know, Christmas is a season of giving and loving. Do we suppose that these acts must only be manifested in 100 days? Think again. We must not be blinded from the fact

Photo by PLDKaAsenso Henry Sy of SM group, John Gokongwei, Jr. of JG Summit Holdings, Inc., and Manuel Villar, of Vista Land--these are some of the famous names in the business industry today. Not born with a silver spoon in their mouth, these successful individuals started setting up a small business with a big heart and humble attitude. Because of their persistent hard-work, their mini-investments had great returns, proving a real rags-to-richest story of life. Just like them, I also had dreamed of becoming a rich person someday; until I realized the blood and sweat it would require to achieve such goal. Despite this, I still persuaded and grabbed every single opportunity that might help more than my family's basic needs. For instance, after finishing high school, I worked as a sim card peddler, as a 'carinderia' helper, fashion shop assistant and a student assistant in a private school. I spent most of my teenage life working here and there but nothing had changed. M
