Apart from being exempted from paying taxes, it is also convenient for those who have no time going outdoor for shopping. It's the easiest way for them to search for products like personal items, gadgets, cars, and many more. Moreover, Facebook which has been used mainly for social networking is now opening it's page for classified advertising functioning similarly as the previously mentioned websites. In fact, one of the Facebook group page having almost 200,000 members as of the moment, is the 'Davao Online Business (Davao Sale)'.

Now, since we already have all the means for online shopping, what comes next? Of course let's consider the welfare of the consumers or buyers themselves. Even I would probably not hesitate to rush to my bank and withdraw big deal of money to purchase such product but wait! Let us not be blinded with this posts. Be wary of deals that sound good to be true.

When deciding to purchase online, always remember to use common sense. Apart from determining its quality of being good-to-be-true, also be mindful if the website looks suspicious or unprofessional, or if you are not confident about their use of your information or that you will get what you pay for. You will know this anyway. Again, just use your 'CS'.

2. Know seller's identity, location, and background

Nothing's wrong when asking about the personal information of the seller himself. It is better to learn more about him right at the moment you meet him online so that you may have the time to really examine his real identity. You may want to ask about his real name, location, his real photo, real social media account, and other relevant information supporting his trustworthiness. When you already have his personal details, try to connect the information he provided and examine weather everything seems to be connected to one another, or some details are having doubtful discrepancies. Also, you may try to search even his name on Google that shows almost all the legal records matching the input name/s. Meanwhile, remember that a trustworthy seller never hesitates to divulge his personal information for the promotion of his quality products regardless of their cost.

If so, you may wish to request the seller to meet at a secured place for you to personally see the product before purchasing it, just to make sure that you are buying what you see online--no more, no less. On the other hand, if the seller is distance away and you badly need to see the product, at least make an agreement between each other (potential buyer and seller). You may either visit the seller's place or request the seller to come to your place. It can be the either way around. However, I suggest that for you to not waste time, effort, and money dealing with a distant seller, try to look for others offering the same product but with the more convenient location.
